Oriel CBT Clinic & Wellbeing

Are you experiencing unhelpful thoughts, or engaging in unhelpful behaviours? Would you like to better understand how these have developed, and how you might change them?

Are you motivated to make changes in your life, to help maximise your potential and live life to the full?

Typical issues CBT can help people with are anxiety, panic, overthinking & worry, depression, low self-esteem, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress, work related stress, specific phobia, insomnia and chronic pain.

Please explore our site to find out more about what we offer, how we work and, most importantly, how we might be of service to you.

EMDR

If you have experienced a traumatic event(s), which is causing you distress, and overwhelming your normal thought processing and coping strategies, then EMDR can help you. The goal of EMDR is to effectively process these memories, so they lose their intensity and become more neutral. Please visit the EMDR page for further information, or get in touch to discuss if it is the right approach for you.

Discounted CBT Sessions

We appreciate that attending CBT is costly and can feel like an unaffordable luxury.
A limited number of discounted CBT appointments are available on a Wednesday with a trainee CBT therapist.

Trainee therapists are expected to have at least two years’ clinical experience, in a statutory or independent mental health setting working with mood and anxiety disorders, before commencing their training.  In addition, the university provides weekly clinical supervision to ensure their work is of a sufficiently high standard.

At present we have a few appointments available for clients with mild to moderate depression. If you would like to find out more, please do get in touch by using the contact form below or emailing info@orielcbt.co.uk
